I am currently reviewing vases, coins, gravestones, epigrams, statues, portraits, and everything else I can get my eyes on that supports my argument concerning the context of philosophically educated women.

It seems that most of the interpreters of ancient arts are too quick to dismiss portrayals of writing, dancing, and lyre-playing women as Muses when in fact they depict scenes from real lives of women according to literary sources.
